What is Pellevé?

The Pellevé system is a non-invasive treatment that has been FDA cleared to treat mild to moderate facial wrinkles. This treatment is non-surgical, requires no incisions, and is a safe and effective way to reduce or remove wrinkles.

How long does the treatment take?

Treatment generally takes from half an hour to an hour, depending on how many areas are being treated.

How does the Pellevé wrinkle removal treatment work?

A special conductive gel is first applied to the treatment areas. As the handheld Pellevé device is gently applied to the wrinkles, patients will feel a deep warmth. During treatment, the patient will be able to help guide the treatment by describing the level of warmth they’re feeling. The warming sensation isn't painful, and in fact, many patients find that it feels like a relaxing facial massage. This warmth is a signal that the deeper layers of tissue are being triggered to heal and produce new collagen.

How many treatment sessions are needed?

It depends on the patient. People with only mild facial wrinkles often get the desired results after a single treatment. However, for people with more developed wrinkles, a series of treatments may be best. Many patients have 3 treatments in total, about a month apart, to get the optimal results.

Is any downtime needed after wrinkle removal treatment with Pellevé?

No, there’s no downtime associated with this type of wrinkle removal. It's normal for patients to experience some mild redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, but this usually fades within a couple of hours. Patients can return to their regular routine immediately. If patients plan to be outdoors immediately after treatment, it's advised that they wear a broad spectrum high SPF sunscreen.

How long does it take to see a reduction in wrinkles?

Most people notice improvement within the first few days. However, the ultimate results take time. Pellevé treatment encourages the body to make brand new collagen, and this gradual process will yield visible results over the next few months.

How long do the results last?

Most patients still enjoy improvement at the 6-month mark post treatment. To maintain the results, it's usually recommended that patients schedule treatments around twice a year.
